Just a thought...

I haven't posted in a while on this blog, but I updated my guitar blog today and decided I wanted to post to this one as well. And I just had a thought that I decided just now to share. There's something that I've been thinking about for about a year now, and I thought someone else may find these ideas interesting to consider as well.

I have repeatedly asked myself, "How much of this life is at the mercy of my prayer?" What answers to the world's problems are waiting to be solved if only God could hear just one more voice ask, "Please, save us." If I prayed for a particular cause, how significant would that be to moving Him to answer our pleas? If just one more person prayed right now, would Fr. Corappi find his way home? Would someone's addiction to pornography, drugs, alcohol, etc. find that eternal joy they sought, but in the Lord's arms?

If only we prayed just once more for abortion to end, perhaps it would. With just one, full-hearted prayer not a single mother would choose to murder her own blood ever again. By not praying and writing this right now, how much good in the world is not being done because God is simply waiting for my voice?

We can't know the answer to this question, I suppose. It's one question that people have been trying to answer for a long time. How far can a prayer really go in this world? I guess we just have to pray and find out...
